The Central European Drone Demonstrator (CEDD) – a joint initiative of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency, the Civil Aviation Office and Metropolis GZM – has become a member of the European Network of U-space Demonstrators. A relevant letter of intent was signed on 19 October 2018 in Antwerp.
The European Network of U-space Demonstrators unites projects and organisations whose goal is to develop system solutions for the safe use of unmanned aerial vehicles providing services in urban environment.
The network is to become a cooperation platform, integrating public and private entities involved in the development of UAV technologies for use in urban environment, and a platform for sharing experiences concerning on-going research and tests.
The creation of the European Network of U-space Demonstrators was initiated by the European Commission, in cooperation with the European Aviation Safety Agency, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol) and the SESAR Joint Undertaking (Single European Sky ATM Research).
